RELATIONSHIPS: IF YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP, REMEMBER THAT THAT RELATIONSHIP IS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR SANCTUARY FROM THE PROBLEMS OF LIFE. IF YOU TRY TO CONTROL YOUR PARTNER THROUGH ANGRY MOMENTS OR MOOD SWINGS, THAT MAY WORK FOR A FEW TIMES BUT EVENTUALLY HE/SHE MAY JUST START DISTANCING HER/HIMSELF FROM YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE PUT THE RELATIONSHIP IN A DEFENSIVE REACTION MODE. RELATIONSHIPS: IF YOU USE YOUR ANGER OR MOODS TO CONTROL YOUR PARTNER, WHAT YOU ARE REALLY DOING IS PUTTING THE RELATIONSHIP ON A PATH OF SELF-DESTRUCTION. YOU MAY CONTROL YOUR PARTNER FOR A WHILE THROUGH ANGRY MOOD SWINGS OR INTIMIDATION; HOWEVER, IN THE LONG RUN, YOU WILL HAVE LOST THE TRUST AND THE LOVE OF YOUR PARTNER BECAUSE HE/SHE IS JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU, NOT THRIVE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. THEREFORE, WHEN YOU SURRENDER YOUR UNDERSTANDING RELATIONSHIP TO GAIN A TEMPORARY COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIP BASED ON THE ILLUSIONS OF EACH OTHER, YOU WILL EVENTUALLY WIND UP IN THE SAME SITUATION AS BEFORE. THE NEW PARTNER WILL DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE BEHIND THE FAÇADE THAT YOU HAVE PRESENTED TO HER/HIM. THUS, THE CYCLE STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN. SENIORS: IT IS INTERESTING HOW MANY SENIORS SPEND THEIR TIME IN SENIOR ACTIVITIES TO SHOW THEY ARE STILL VIABLE HUMAN BEINGS. IT WOULD BE MORE SIGNIFICANT IF THEY WERE INCLUDED IN SERVING AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF SOCIETY ON ALL LEVELS. EmilKoval©2013
