STRESS/DISTRESS: FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL, LIFE IS FULL OF INTERESTING CHALLENGES, WHICH CAN CREATE STRESS OR DISTRESS. SOME INDIVIDUALS ACTUALLY PREFER DEPRESSION TO VITALITY. IT IS THEIR COMFORT ZONE WHERE THE CAN RECEIVE ATTENTION OR REJECTION EASILY. NEGATIVE ATTENTION IS BETTER THAN ZERO ATTENTION. ZERO ATTENTION MEANS YOUR EXISTENCE ISN’T RECOGNIZED. FEARS: A GREAT INSIGHT INTO ONESELF IS TO BE AWARE OF HOW YOU PERSONALLY DEAL WITH YOUR FEARS. SOME WILL DENY THEIR FEARS PUBLICLY WHILE BEING TERRORIZED BY THEM INTERNALLY. SOME WILL CHALLENGE AND DENY THEIR FEARS. WHICHEVER IS TRUE FOR YOU, YOU MUST BEGIN TO DEFINE AND UNDERSTAND YOUR FEARS. THIS MAY BE A LIFE-LONG PROJECT. DURING THIS PROCESS YOU MUST LEARN TO TURN THOSE FEARS INTO POSITIVE TOOLS TO HELP YOU FACE YOUR CHALLENGES ON YOUR PATH. EmilKoval©2013

FEAR: WHEN YOU BEGIN TO FEEL A SENSE OF FEAR, FIND A PLACE OF SOLITUDE AND LET IT BLOOM FULLY IN YOUR MIND AS ‘YOU’ MINDFULLY OBSERVE IT. AS YOU OBSERVE IT, TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS APPEARING AT THAT TIME AND EVALUATE YOUR REACTIONS TO IT. IF YOU ARE IN A PUBLIC SETTING, DO NOT EXPRESS YOUR FEAR BUT MINDFULLY OBSERVE IT AND YOUR REACTIONS TO THEM.
THE TIMES THAT YOU HAVE TO FACE YOUR FEARS ARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELF UNDERSTANDING AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH. ONCE YOU HAVE FACED ONE OF YOUR FEARS FULLY AND HAVE TURNED IT INTO AN ALLY, YOUR FUTURE FEARS WILL BE EASIER TO OVER COME AND MAY BE DIMINISHED TO THE LEVEL OF ANXIETY OR NERVOUSNESS. FEAR: THERE ARE FOUR BASIC LEVELS OF EMOTION THE PEOPLE CALL ‘FEAR’. 1) NERVOUSNESS WHICH IS A MINOR EMOTIONAL REACTION TO UNCERTAINTY; 2), ANXIETY WHICH IS A HEIGHTENED NERVOUS REACTION TO ‘PERCEIVED’ THREATS OR MENACING EVENTS; 3) FEAR WITH IS DEFENSIVE REACTION TO REALISTIC OR PERCEIVED DANGER; AND 4) PHOBIAS WHICH ARE HEIGHTEN LEVELS OF FEAR THAT PRODUCE MENTAL TERROR AND EXTREME PHYSICAL REACTIONS. THESE ARE GENERALIZED DEFINITIONS TO HELP CLARIFY THESE LEVELS OF NEGATIVE EMOTIONS. EACH LEVEL MUST BE MINDFULLY UNDERSTOOD BY EACH INDIVIDUAL WHO EXPERIENCES THEM. FEAR: ALL CREATURES HAVE A SENSE OF FEAR. FOR ANIMALS, FEAR IS FELT IN CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGERS. FOR HUMANS, IT IS NOT ONLY WITH CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, BUT ALSO CAN BE FELT IN THE ANTICIPATION OF THINGS TO COME AND CONTINUING MEMORIES FROM THE PAST. HUMAN FEAR CAN CREATE HIGH LEVELS OF ‘IMAGINED’ HUMAN ANXIETY. EmilKoval©2013
