MY THOUGHT 14171
QUESTION 5406: SENIORS, ARE YOU IGNORED BY YOUR CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY ARE SO BUSY WITH THEIR MATERIALISTIC LIVES THAT THEY DON’T HAVE TIME FOR YOU? EmilKoval©2018

MY THOUGHT 14172
QUESTION 5407: IF YOUR CHILDREN DON’T HAVE TIME FOR YOU, SENIORS, DON’T YOU THINK IT’S TIME TO SPEND THEIR INHERITANCE ON YOU AND YOUR NEEDS? EmilKoval©2018

MY THOUGHT 14173
QUESTION 5408: IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR SIDE OF A CONFLICT IN PARENTAL RELATIONSHIPS, DON’T YOU THINK IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE AND FORGET THEM? EmilKoval©2018

MY THOUGHT 14174
CONTEMPLATION: EVERY SENIOR TODAY HAS TO DECIDE WHETHER THEY ARE AN ASSET TO THEIR CHILDREN OR A LIABILITY TO THEIR CHILDREN. IF YOU ARE AN ASSET TO YOUR CHILDREN, THEN YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THAT RELATIONSHIP. IF YOU ARE A LIABILITY TO YOUR CHILDREN, IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. EmilKoval©2018

MY THOUGHT 14175
CONTEMPLATION: THERE IS A SENIOR HERE WHO HAS SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO HELP HIS/HER CHILDREN FINANCIALLY. HOWEVER, THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT ANYTHING FROM HER/HIM. HE/SHE SHOULD FOLLOW HER/HIS OWN DREAM WITH THE FINANCES THAT SHE/HE HAS AVAILABLE. THERE IS ANOTHER SENIOR HERE WHOSE CHILDREN WHO DON’T REALLY SEEM TO CARE WHETHER THEIR PARENT IS IN NEED OF COMPANIONSHIP OR SPECIAL THINGS. THAT PARENT IS A VICTIM OF THE OTHER PARENT’S CRITICISM OF THAT HER/HIM. THOSE CHILDREN NEVER BOTHERED TO ASK THAT SENIOR PARENT WHO LIVES HERE WHAT HIS/HER SIDE OF THE STORY IS. IT IS BEST FOR THAT PERSON TO MOVE ON WITH HER/HIS LIFE AND CUT THE TIES WITH THOSE CHILDREN WHO HAVE SHOWN NO TRUE INTEREST IN HIS/HER WELL-BEING. EmilKoval©2018

CONTEMPLATION NOTES 022:

The Trouble Tree

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job, a flat tire made him lose an hour of work & his electric drill quit, then his ancient one ton truck refused to start. As I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.

On arriving he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. Upon opening the door he had undergone an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do at the little tree.

“Oh, that’s my trouble tree,” he replied. “I know I can’t help having troubles on the job, but one thing’s for sure, those troubles don’t belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.” Funny thing is,” he smiled, “when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren’t nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before.”

CONTEMPLATION NOTES 023:

How Poor We Are

One day a father and his rich family took his son to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be.

They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”

“Very good Dad!” “Did you see how poor people can be?” the father asked.

“Yeah!”

“And what did you learn?”

The son answered, “I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon.” When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.

His son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!”
